Privacy Policy — Pakistani Tradition

The short version: we collect only what we need to reply to your messages and fulfil your orders. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers, and we use a small number of cookies to remember your choices.

1. Who we are

2. Information we collect

Contact information you give us voluntarily through the contact form or by email — name, email address, phone number and the content of your message.
Order information you provide when purchasing — shipping address, billing details, and the items ordered. Payment card data is handled directly by our payment processor and is not stored on our servers.
Basic technical data your browser sends automatically — IP address, browser type, referring page and pages visited. Used only in aggregate to understand traffic and diagnose problems.

3. How we use it

To reply to your enquiries and fulfil orders.
To maintain records required by U.S. state and federal tax law.
To improve the website (e.g. see which pages are used, fix broken links).
To send occasional email updates only if you have explicitly opted in.

4. Legal basis

Depending on where you live, we rely on your consent, on the performance of a contract (fulfilling an order), on our legitimate interest in running a small business, or on legal obligation (tax and accounting).

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share only with the small number of service providers we need to run the business:

6. Retention

We keep contact-form messages for up to 24 months. Order records are retained for 7 years to meet tax obligations. You can request deletion earlier (see section 8) subject to legal minimums.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We store no card data. Contact details live in a password-protected mailbox and an off-site encrypted backup. No system is perfect, but we treat your information the way we would want ours treated.

8. Your rights

You may ask us at any time to:

Show you what information we hold about you.
Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
Delete information (subject to legal retention rules).
Stop using it for marketing (opt out of any list).
Object to processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. EU/UK residents have equivalent rights under GDPR / UK GDPR.

9. Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

10. Changes

If we make material changes we will update this page and change the "last updated" date at the top. Small edits will not be individually announced.
